Mercury Fab-Cast is a small yet dynamic applied arts studio. We provide diverse multi-material fabrication and finishing services to architects, artists, and designers. Our practice is highly adaptive, allowing us to accommodate an eclectic range of commissions with design support, prototyping, custom surface finishing, and one-off or micro-scale production.

We are skilled in a host of different fabricating, casting, and finishing methods; always crafting and finishing by hand. Besides metal and woodworking, we are well versed in a variety of craft arts often employing traditional techniques in unconventional and unique ways. If necessary our offerings can be further enhanced by way of a select network of reputable and talented resources.

Our style of working with clients is accessible and responsive. We work in close cooperation to complement their efforts and preserve the authenticity of the original design intent. All the while optimizing the final form and creative expression with technical proficiency.

Moreover, while we welcome the opportunity to collaborate, we are conversant with driving the process, freeing our clients to focus their own attentions elsewhere.

In either situation, we are quick to gain an understanding of project requirements, and able to contribute thoughtfully and knowledgeably based on conversation, basic sketches, or drawings.

We prioritize environmentally conscious design, material and studio practices. If seeking LEED certification, or simply taking a cue from LEED guidelines, we can work with vendors assuring appropriate products and chain of custody.

With a proven track record of staying on budget and schedule, we uphold integrity and commitment to excellence in every project, exemplifying our company ethos.

“We have collaborated with Mercury Fab-Cast on many high profile projects. Each time Pia has proven herself invaluable to our team. A natural problem solver, her work is a perfect blend of creative imagination and critical thinking. No matter what we ask of her, the results are always brilliant, earning her exceptional trust and respect as a design partner.
I recommend her without hesitation.”
